1914 S Buffalo with Spike Head

    This 1914 S has a die crack that looks like a spike head
    SKH-5c-1914-01
    And, it has some doubling that is probably mechanical.

    Worn die on the doubling. Unsure if that is a die crack, but wouldn't surprise me as over 3 million were struck, and I'm sure many were produced with badly worn dies.

    edit: Okay, I blew up the photo and now can see a crack continuing into the hair, so it does seem to match the "spiked head" nickel mentioned in Cuds-on-coins. Nice find.
