I assume (and hope) you are talking about the TV guys , not coinvault.com, which is run by highly esteemed gold coin dealer Clark Smith.
I got a France 1848; Gold 20 Francs Angel; The first date ever minted for the Angel from coinvault.com last month. Very happy with the coins that I order from Clark. Shame that TV sham is also using a similar name. Would never a coin buy from TV. Not only would I be buying the coin but also the TV time. "Unless it is a rare coin and I understand that a 1978 penny with lincoln on it is being sold on TV today. Must be rare for it has a president on it! Now where is my neighbors credit card. I just got it out of his mailbox yesterday". wink, joke.
You can tell when sombody is TOO wrapped up in the "Teleshopping" craze when they refer to house, car, or any other large purchase notes as "24 Pay or 12 Pay" LMAO
Last night I watched one of those coin shows with my mouth ajar.. They spent 20 minutes hacking up a fur ball trying to sell a complete set of "RARE" gold and platinum dipped state quarters. 1999-2004 thats "60" count em sixty quarters "rare" quarters no less for....... <drum roll>... no, not $250... not $150... not even $100...... $79.99. (for $15.00, not bad - the fact that they dipped them in testors paint.. so still $15.00). Now we are your state quarter supplier.. so we will send you.. 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008 for $25.95 each.... so all told.. your getting $40 worth of quarters for $about $260.00 It was only slighted added to the humor their made up stories. A truck blew up in the south destroying $3 million dollars worth of Kansas quarters. So that leaves only oh 200 some million left... Kansas quarters are "Rare"
shop at home Shop at home had a great deal on silver eagles last weekend. Unslabbed out of the original packages, for only $30 each and you would make your first of a few payments before reaching melt value!!!
"Kansas quarters are "Rare" thanks for the tip. But what about the state quarters that run run is talking about? Seriously, I think that the majority of people who are buying have no idea what they are buying and that is when most people get ripped off in life. As someone else stated there are alot of grandma's buying for their grandchildren, etc..
Like I said, they search through all that stuff for high-grades to send off & grade, and sell the rest off! to get there money back, then sell you the 67 to 70 for big $.
