When I opened my ASEs, I thought they would be nice. Each of the ASEs I got are pristine and I love them. To enable my understanding, what do you think caused the frosting on your ASE? Is there a possibility that it is a random discoloration? How can I protect my ASEs from becoming frosted? The only thing that I don't like about the ASEs is that they have started using the cheapest material and workmanship on the holders. Are there any coin holders similar to the one the Mint use to use? I don't grade coins, however, I will buy one from time to time. I would like the casing the ASEs come in to protect the coin. However... will the casing the coins come in actually seal them to keep anything from damaging my ASE's? Thanks to all for your info.
The "worth" isn't always in/by the money or cost, value, etc....and that's always to each their own. I buy what I like and disagree with certain other designs/issues, etc...I certainly don't like the mostly exorbitent prices, nor all the initials standing out like mint marks in conspicuous locations, for examples. Still, I don't consider it "junk"...my opinion...and if it's opined as "junk" by some, there's nothing automatic about that...it's an opinion, not a ruling.
It is always so easy to criticize. That is true in life as well as in coins. I received my two examples of the 2022 West Proof Silver Eagle yesterday. Very nice indeed.
