    I must admit that despite having collecting the coinage of Lugdunum for about 20 years I hadn't been aware of this type before until I saw an example. There are examples on acsearch and in Bastien but they are all relatively scarce with between 1 and 4 examples of the variations known to Bastien. Admittedly this example is not in great condition suffering from some extensive natural wear but I am still happy to have it.

    Diocletian Antoninianus
    Obv:- IMP DIOCLETIANVS AVG , Radiate, cuirassed bust right
    Rev:- IOVI CONSERVATORI AVGG, Victory standing right, palm over shoulder, present wreath to Jupiter standing left, holding globe in his right hand and scepter with his left
    Minted in Lugdunum (//A). 7th Emission, Spring A.D.290 - A.D.291
    Refereces:- RIC 49. Bastien 341 (4 ex.). Cohen 281

    I actually like that honest wear. Gives more character!

    Good eye. That type could easily be confused with more mundane reverses.

    A great type. Some wear, yes, but nice attractive surfaces.

    @maridvnvm Good find.

    Would you be kind enough to share the title or titles of the Bastien books regarding the Lugdunum mint? I have been idly searching but struggling due to the language barrier. Many thanks.

    Edit: Found it! Le Monnayage de l'atelier de Lyon, in multiple volumes.
