Just wanted to share this little story since I know some of you will appreciate it. Today I was at the grocery store waiting at the service desk. I glance over next to me and see a dime on the ground. Before I could grab it, a woman steps up and is almost standing on top of it. Now I have trouble passing up a coin on the ground any time, but I glance again and I think it looks like silver. So I'm not going to leave without getting it.

I finish up my transaction and I keep hanging around waiting for her to finish. She seems done but she's not leaving. I'm reading headlines on the newspaper rack hoping I don't seem to be acting too weird. Finally she moves enough that I feel like I can grab it without it being awkward, so I bend over and get it. Sure enough, 1956. Not a huge score, but a small victory all the same.

FFIVN and I do the same thing. Never have we been lucky enough to get a silver coin though!

When I was a kid, the movie theater in town was across the street from the post office. There was a huge Zerox copying machine in the post office which cost a whole quarter for a copy, a lot of money when you got paid 3 to five bucks for cutting someone's grass. I copied the back of a dollar bill that I had in my pocket while waiting on my dad to pick me up from the theater. I had more fun with that dollar bill.

I worked in a grocery store bagging groceries after school and I folded that bill where only the printed side could be seen and put it in the middle of the isle where people came through the door to get their carts. I watched many a person put their foot on it so someone else couldn't see it until they could pick it up themselves without being seen. It was so much fun that the next time I went to the theater, I spent all my ticket money on copies and set outside until the movie was over and my dad picked me up, I didn't dare tell him though.
