    It's pretty worn down but it's a 27 s less then 400,000 minted ill take it. I think it's a cool find received_298826722430609~2.jpeg received_298826722430609~2.jpeg received_712938763489067~2.jpeg received_399773438366678~2.jpeg received_305300808430939~2.jpeg

Nice find, regardless of S...no S...personally I can't tell...seem to see an ultra-faint S-like shape in the close-up, but seems too high for where they're usually placed in relation to the detent-edge and bottom of base. I dunno.

Thank you guy's. I'm starting to think there must not be a big community of coin collectors here in ut because I been finding stuff left and right especially coin roll hunting. The other night 9 silver nickles in one box.

I'm not even seeing an S. Here's my 1927-S that's not an S, and it's miles more apparent than yours. I'm sorry, I think you're seeing things.

If it were a 1927-S, the S would be a lot more prominent at this stage of wear, I'm pretty sure.

I can make out what might be an S in the microscope image, but I can much more clearly make out a Madonna and Child. It's in the brain, not on the coin, I'm afraid.

Exactly. That's why mine isn't an S, either.
    Good way of putting it.
