    1899 US 5 cent V nickel. These were hard working coins, through WWI and the depression.

    So many choices, so little time
    Back in 1723 these were minted to circulate in Ireland but with King George’s image, they were unpopular there. Many went to The Colonies, as they were chronically short of coinage.
    So here’s a half penny I picked from an LCS junk box. Wood’s Coinage

    Chola - Sri Lanka, Parakrama Bahu II, AE massa, c.AD1236-1271. Apparently dug up, as it still has plenty of dirt in the recesses.
