OK, I only have ten slots so I picked the more popular coin sets . This poll is really for the collectors like me who are working on filling certain sets. I know some of the heavy hitters out there have some filled already, but for people like me I am working and prioritizing and with a budget. So I am going after certain sets and then thinking about which ones I will start next. PS, you can vote more than once
Roosevelt dimes are my priority set right now. My raw set is complete (except for 2009 P&D non-satin) but I've got a long long way to go on my Registry Set.
Couldn't vote. Since I've been collecting coins for well over 60 years I now have all those completed. Some many times over too. Example is just finishing Mercury Dimes set #12.
That's why I qualified the original question a little. That must be some cllection you have, congrats. I am nearing completion on a few sets, but no finish line yet. I was thinking about starting the mercs, they look fairly easy except for a couple. What do you think?
Its great that you still enjoy it. I've noticed that most long-term collectors either branch off into different fields or stop collecting entirely (usually they stay in it, but focus on dealing or research). I worry what will happen to me - I've already moved into some pretty esoteric areas, and that's just in the past few years! I'd love to see what members here have assembled some of the more esoteric sets. Like US-Philippine coinage, or Civil War tokens from the city of Chicago.
Cool thread. It is neat to see some of collectors that have been doing it a while completing sets over and over again. Since I am just getting started on mine and my sons collection, I am only going to vote once ont my lincoln pennies.
