Take a look at this and tell me I'm not seein' things. It's for an order from the US mint being handled by our friends at Fed Ex (F'ers). This thing's back in Edison? What happened? The driver encountered heavy cross winds and had to return to base?

    Ken: You, Me and Edison!

BTW, you ever look up the Fulfillment Center in Plainfield, Indiana on Google Maps/Street View? Either the map is just old and the structures shown under construction were built since the Google Van drove by or it just ain't really there! 2799 REEVES ROAD, PLAINFIELD, IN 46168

LOL! Looks like they sent it via boomerang!

  7. The same thing happened to my LN6 (Lincoln Coin & Chronicles set). It went back and forth in an illogical fashion. I contacted the US Mint, FedEx and USPS and each had no idea what was going on. I thought all was lost and then one day out of the blue it just showed up. TC

I once sent something to NJ (just outside NYC). It took nearly 4 weeks for them to get it. It arrived in town X (about 20 miles from it destination) in relatively short order. After that, it would depart for delivery about 2 times a week and then return the next day. Finally, it went to Harrisburg, PA and then was delivered the next day. Go figure. The gal at our PO (very experienced and knowledgeable) was absolutely flabbergasted and had no clue what was going on.

Ken: Good news and good to hear! I guess they cited their delay due to the fantastic weekend weather this past weekend as an exception for delivery;)

So did you get anything good?...

It depends on the mode of shipping transportation. Say it left one location via truck and headed to another where it was loaded onto a container and placed on a train. The train passes the next location where it would board a truck but has no unloading facility there so it bypasses it for the next. At the next train yard where unloading happens it gets put on a truck and has to backtrack to the regional facility the train couldnt unload at. Same scenario plays out with air freight as well.
