Morning everyone I know the 1982 Washington quarter must be an excellent condition for it to be worth anything my question is what's the criteria for grading Washington quarters? Does this quarter fit in that criteria or should it be better quality coin? Thanks in advance IMG_20220415_213939820.jpg IMG_20220415_213442493.jpg

I would say your quarter does not hold any numismatic value due to its condition and age, A Uncirculated or MS coin like yours is all to readily available directly out of a US Mint set for minimal cost. The basic criteria for any coin is no wear on high points and no circulation or bag mark. I hope this helps you some.

82's and 83's were only available from mint souvenir sets. You had to physically buy them from the mint. No "mint sets were issued. So, finding a gem in circulation just isn't going to happen.
Your 82 has seen a lot of circulation.
There are gems still out there, just be prepared for most of the Souvenir sets to be picked thru.

Your coin is in circulated condition. It's nice, but not close to justifying the $50+ grading fees.

IMO, I think it's worth putting in a 2x2 and keeping. Decent 82 quarters are hard to find.
