1814 Large cent.

    I bought this 26 years ago for my type set. It was in a Bowers auction as VF-30. Didn't really have the money but just had to have it. Do you agree with the grade? Do you see anything special about the coin? S-295?

    Nice bisected die crack, I agree with the vf 30 nice honest wear...if mine a dip in acetone and a small drop of verdicare. And store open a few days

    A really nice Original piece with crusty surfaces. Hard to find, I like it.

    Looks like the plain 4.
    I like the grade, I think that a 35 is too much.
    Your obverse looks to have more details. But the reverse is a bit mushy around the perimeter.

    VF-30 is about right. I wouldn’t mess with it beyond trying to push some crud off with a toothpick or rose thorn.
