I have a half dollar coin that says General Robert E. Lee 1807-1870 on the obverse and the reverse is of the Confederate Half Dollar. In the center of the obverse is a bust of Gen. Lee. What is it and what is it worth?
It isn't a US coin. There were several medals and rounds struck with similar legend and bust. Not sure if I remember a reverse confederate half image. Photo would help tremendously. Liberia did issue a couple of REL coins in 2001, but they are basically bullion coins, and they say Liberia on the obv. Welcome to the Forum! Jim
I wish I could help, however, it isn't U.S. tender and can't be Confederate tender. Good luck! CheetahCats
