This 1992 LMC has what looks like a D/D mm. Is that even possible? Thank you. WIN_20220411_15_56_42_Pro.jpg WIN_20220411_15_57_13_Pro.jpg WIN_20220411_15_54_48_Pro.jpg WIN_20220411_15_51_33_Pro.jpg

    No.
The mint marks were punched into the master hubs by this point. What you are seeing is die deterioration/split plate doubling.
    Common on Zincolns.

Yes D/D mintmarks are not only possible, they exist and are called Repunched Mint Marks (RPM's).

Your coin is not one. The copper layer has been pulled away leaving the zinc showing under the "D" when the coin was struck.

You have a fine example of split plate doubling, which is another form of NAV. The copper plating on this zinc cent is what causes it to look this way. Common.
