My wife would like to purchase the baseball and basketball HOF commems. I am hoping I could get both for under $100 someplace. Any thoughts?

eBay, or watch Great Collections for some 69s as at least some of those usually slip through cheap

Go for it. Those are the cool coins everyone should have. I like March or Dimes the best.

I've been trying to get the military commemoratives. I've paid $20 for some that are in 2x2 flips, $25 for some that are in OGP, $26 for the prestige sets, and $37 for the Marine Uncirculated graded MS70.

I'm not sure what the HoF ones go for, but I've found the best place to look is the local shows and coin clubs, and only buy the first ones you see if they're in your price range. Coinzip.com has some good info about those, but is sometimes out of date so confirm before going anywhere.

I got the baseball silver dollar on eBay for $35 with OGP occluding shipping in a terribly worded listing. So the market on those is cooling down I think with good chance one could get one fairly reasonably. I haven't looked at the basketball commemoratives yet.

I am much more a basketball than baseball, as today’s game is very boring

eBay, I've seen both at very reasonable prices. Basketball seems to be the more popular of the two. Good luck.

You may find one of these but I’m not sure if it makes your price range. I had to have this one and I do now!

I haven't been looking at the Baseball commems. I couldn't get one at the mint as they were sold out. I'm going to try ebay. My son, now 50, started playing baseball when he was 5 in what was called the PeeWee League. It was a new club and I was the first coach. I had alot of fun when the kids then. My son then started in Little League and he excelled in it. (I couldn't be a coach as the coaches had already been selected. He played baseball until he graduated from High School. He has been collecting the annual set of the baseball cards since he was 4, in 1988, he graduated from high school and decided he had enough of playing baseball, but he still collects Baseball Cards and Marvel Comic books. H was a left hand pitcher an could throw his fast ball in high school at 87 mph. He got his undergraduate degree in Business, and MBA. He lives in Georgia and travels alot and makes more money than I ever did. He's in sales and travels all over the U.S. While travelling, he buys me a coin, mostly silver. My other two children are girls (now, women) and are "stay at home moms.
Anyway, I'm going to search to find a silver or gold baseball glove. Too bad it's not a lefty for my son.

Only the gold actually sold out, the rest they just stopped selling since theyre from about a decade ago. They all sold very well though so there shouldnt be any difficulty in finding them
