    Found this in a box of uncirculated 2019 d SAM quarters. Pulled 21 “w” quarters out of that box. This was one of them.

    I think it could be what is referred to as a struck through rim burr.
    I have a Kennedy half from a mint set with one

    Just a Struck Through.. No Burr.

    @SensibleSal66
    That's only a Struck Through on your Kennedy.

    Yes, a strike-thru and there are collectors for even smaller ones on the W quarters.
    It appears to be in pretty good condition also.... nice find. ;)

    To date I’ve found nearly 900 “w” quarters. My best box had 91 of them.

    Amazing but not impossible,if all sold for around $10-$20 each that's between $9,000-$20,000

    Please post photos FuLL IMAGE. It makes it easy to enlarge and view the entire coin. Looks like a reed strike under the T in TRUST, not that it is important or makes a difference.

    That’s a record. How come you never swapped with me when I needed a few. I was trading W’s. Made a ton of friends. @Mark68 @furryfrog02 @Oldhoopster etc…. Way to many to type. @TexAg. We had a blast

    I also picked up a case where I hit it big. Did you ever get a roll with 2 W enders. They were in my big hit case

    Wow! Where do you live? I live just out of a small town of Eastern North Carolina and never saw one. I bank with the State Employees Credit Untion and know all the tellers and they know I collect coins. When they see a coin that looks funny or nice, they pull it aside and let me buy them from them. I give them a dollar for each coin they hold for me, that way they feel it's worth watching for special coins. It's probably not worth it, but every once in a while, the get one or more and get a buck for each one they hold for me. I went into the SECU for a deposit and one of the tellers said she wanted to look at a coin she got. It turns out that it was a "gold" quarter. It wasn't worth anything other than a quarter, but I gave her $5 just for saving it for me. I didn't have a heart to tell her it wasn't gold, but now all the tellers look for coins. I told the VP about coin collecting and what the tellers were doing. I didn't want to get them or me into trouble. She told me not to worry about it, It has turned out to be a game to them (and me).
    Anyway, nary a "W" quarter showed up. I told them I would give them $10 if they found one. So far, no "W" quarters.\
    What's your secret?
