Hi Everyone! Happy Spring! It’s nice and sunny here with 17 Celsius as our high for the day. (I should have become a meteorologist) Anyway, our good friends, @Stevearino and @John Anthony, sent me a Christmas gift of a few prutah back in December. Sadly, these coins were lost. True to their kind nature, they tried again and now, thanks to them, I’m the proud owner of the following Byzantine coins: Justinian I, 527-565 AD Pentanummium Leo VI, 886-912 AD Follis Justin I, 518-527 AD Half Follis Please excuse the sideways pictures, my phone doesn’t like to do proper coin pics. I love how my collection started out with a few Judaea coins and now it’s turned into more of a generalist collection. Thanks again, Steve and John! I love these coins and am very grateful for your generosity! Please post anything IRRELEVANT because randomness is cool. Erin
Very nice of them to fix you up. As for the photos, I only have a cell. Try taking a photo then go to the photo page on your phone. Hit the word “EDIT” at the top right. At the bottom should be a small icon that looks like a square with 2 arrows pointing in a semi circle. Now you’re ready to crop the photo. Before doing so look at the top of that screen. Second icon from the top left is an icon that’s square with one arrow at the top right of that square. Tap one to turn your photo 90*, twice will turn it halfway and the third time will be 270*. Now crop the photo and save.
I've said it before....but truth be told again....I like how your Ancients folks roll! You all bring so much to this forum....and even though I am not a part...of collecting these I do like to read the threads, and enjoy your banter. Thanks
Thanks so much, everyone! ThanKs to @hotwheelsearl and @robinjojo for editing my photos. Thanks for the photo suggestions, @Collecting Nut. Byzantine coins are fun and I really enjoy having them in my collection. This board is full of incredible people! I learn more here than I ever did in school. Lol. I’ve also experienced mind blowing generosity. I am truly blessed to be here! Happy Easter all! Erin
