At a quick glance, most appears to be common, modern coins.

But there are a few, like the 1952 50 francs in the lower left hand corner, that may be worth more than face.

As in face value...the value that is printed on the coin.

    France uses the Euro now.

Your 1952 Fifty Francs is one of 74+ million minted in an aluminum-bronze alloy.

It might be worth a dollar or two depending on its condition.

PS: Nice photo work! An interesting group of coins!

If you're interested in world coins and their value, I would recommend getting Modern World Coins 1850-1964 14th Ed by R.S. Yeoman. Most of the world coins that I have collected fall in this date range and can be found in this book.

The coin of interest is listed with a value of the following:

    vf $1
    ef $3.50
    unc $15

It's uncirculated, so does that mean its worth $15?

I am courious to how you came to collect this wide range of coins. Did you get them within a short span of time or over many years? Did you buy them or were they gifts?

    Nice assortment.

I collect practically only Russian currency, so I will only comment on one particular coin:

Although it's not what you would call "valuable", or "rare" since it is pretty common and easy to find, that 1 Rouble coin at the bottom of the picture, with the symbol of the torch and olympic rings is one that I really like. It was minted by the Soviet Union for the 1980 Olympics in Moscow - which the US boycotted :D . And that torch symbol on the coin is the official symbol of those Olympics, so it's that type of memorabilia that had to have been brought over physically, and those coins always have an interesting story on how they got here. Those 1 Rouble coins (yours is 1 of 6 issued of that denomination with Olympic themes) were some of the few Olympic-themed coins put into circulation by any country (most of the time they just make them as collectibles, not as currency).

I personally have the set of 6 1 Rouble coins, and I got it from my grandfather who actually grew up there and physically picked the coins out of circulation while the Olympics were going on in 1980 and brought them over here.

i have a few of those. There probably is not anything that is worth what you are hoping for but still great to have: they were made in a different country and could be 20-30 years old or older

My coin dealer has a world coins "junk" bin. It has in it most of the coins that you have here. He sells them 5 for $2. Mostly that is all they are worth, some even less so.

I suggest you get a world coins book, 1900-present, if you like these kinds of coins.
