Good evening, I have a merc here that I wanted to ask if I have identified some issues. I see on the obverse what I think is a planchet crack at nine o'clock. I see a die crack at in God we trust and at the date 1920. I see on the reverse what I think is a rim crack fron nine o'clock to 11 o'clock. Am I close or am I off on my assessment?

Looks like a lamination by L of Liberty.A IDB interior die break might be a pre-cud By In God We Trust.Last a die crack through the date, this coin has character.

Yes to a lamination, two die cracks, one at IGWT and another at the date and a slightly misaligned die.

I agree lamination issues at the L in Liberty, die cracks at in God and the date. What interesting the crack at the date that runs up though the neck ...a lot of these the crack runs though the head like a bi secting die crack. Lamination was quite an issues from the 1900's - 1940's....true there's lamination issues after the 1940s but even world coins durring that time peroid show quite a few specimens that have lamination issues.
Idk if the crack was a pre cud or not....with the other cracks locations as well size im thinking the die would explode before a cud formed. Checking the mm there were no know RPM's listed for the 20 D.

You know I be willing to bet those two cracks do run throughout the devices and are actually a bisected crack.
Thats why I believe that the die was near end.

Nothing on the reverse really noticeable except for a bit of something at the top of the "M" in "Dime". Not sure what that is.

The "crack" you see on the rim is possibly a collar clash (I could be wrong) but it is so old and worn it is hard to tell.

Yep, I'd agree, but surprised we don't see the stress lines in the fields. Might just be worn down.

I believe that these cracks continue under the devices... s-l1600-5-1.jpg 20220407_185648.jpg s-l1600-6-1.jpg 20220407_185618.jpg
