A PCGS Green label coin. Graded as MS-64 years ago but would probably be a MS-65 today but it does have a few dings, cheek and field. To me the luster makes up for that. But I have no intentions of removing it from this slab. It’s a nice older slab.
Very nice coin. I love the luster. It would probably make 65 today, but those couple of ticks by the face might prevent that.
It is my understanding that when a TPG looks at a coin, the first thing they look at is the focal points, the face on this coin, and if the marks are distracting, then the grade is lowered. Is that other's understanding too?
