    Britannicus AE of Cappadocia, Caesaraea-Eusebia. Octavia and Antonia on reverse. 20mm, 5.87g. (Coin-in-hand video here.)

    Host Coin: Sydenham Caesarea 61, RPC (I) 3656; Countermark: Howgego GIC 424, RPC Countermark 546 (found on almost all known specimens of this coin):

    "This coin, evidently of Asia Minor, but particularly of that part situated about the Maeander and Hermus, is probably of a place called Characa, mentioned by Strabo as situated on the road from Tralles to Nysa, and at equall distances. Stephanus speaks also of a city of Charax in Lydia, which he identifies with Tralles." J. Millingen, Sylloge of Ancient Unedited Coins of Greek Cities and Kings ... 1837, p. 79 (pl. 4, 56 (*).

    Great countermark, hadn't seen that before! Looks like Howgego 369 is RPC Countermark 489, with a few more examples here: https://rpc.ashmus.ox.ac.uk/countermark/489
