Good to see that the coin ended up in a museum in Aachen (Germany), where it was minted some 1200 years ago.
Is the title implying Charlemagne's death or the farmers? I skimmed through the article and didn't find anything else about the farmer who found it.
The title should imply that this is Charlemagnes latest emmision. It does imply both however (ie farmer died / Charlemagne died), which I thought to be funny
I don't collect ancient coins, but the coin, the article, and this thread, peaked my interest. Thanks to all that participated.
