Hey I'm know im going to sell a few more of my coins to save up for the FH SLQ I've always wanted, so I'm curious about how to format an auction. The one I most recently did has a lot of text, but I really wanted to get people to see the coins so I put many pictures too. Please let me know your opinions of the best formats for Ebay auctions. Mine can be found EDITED- No self-promotion - please read the CT rules.

    PLEASE LET ME KNOW!

    Have you considered E-Bid??

Its alot cheaper to sell there!!

Really? I just like the ebay guarantee thing for buyers I think it makes them more comfortable so they are more willing to spend their money because there's technically no risk.

I have found that placing a good number of pictures is good but it is easy to overdo it with the photos.

Also, having a wordy description can backfire as a lot of interested bidders are looking for highlights and not always the largest description. What I have seen work best when there is a lot of detail is using different font sizes and colors to bring attention to the critical points.

I'll be honest with you. Too many pictures and way too much information for my taste.

Thats because hardly anyone uses E-bid. Theoretically, its a much better site, especially for sellers, than the robbing barstewards at ebay, but thats no good if everyone uses ebay and ebay knows it, which is why they can charge outrageous fees....
