I had never heard of this until I googled “black nickel”. Is it true that the rim or side should be the same color as a normal nickel? Thank you in advance

http://www.error-ref.com/improper-annealing/ The first link doesn't appear to work so here's another one.Also other factors exist to tell if its improperly annealed besides the edge.It usually effects both sides of the coin and can have tons of appearances and looks.Read the info on the link and if you think you've found one.Just post it here to confirm because it could just be damage.
