Okay everyone, check this out!! Is this even possible? A 1958 Dime in a 1955 Mint set !!! Calling on all error collectors: * This is not my coin. Saw on another forum. Thought it was unusual. Here are the Pics:
My personal opinion from the photos. The end where the nickel and quarter are has been cut. The sello peeled apart to insert a different date dime. The yellowish stains and the crinkling to the sello appears to be an attempt to re-seal it with heat. Voila, a " created mint set error"
Easy.. A special US Mint time traveling agent traveled 3 years into the future and got himself a Dime from 1958.. He returned and had it inserted into the 1955 packaging. Nah.. I don't think so
@potty dollar 1878 …it is not a six…that is a very clear 1958. And I agree someone is trying to pull a fast one…Spark
The sellers photos aren't good enough to tell if the package was tampered with, but other than a "self packager" it would be pretty much impossible to make up a Mint original package with a coin from the future. If the dime was say, 1954, then yes, it is very possible.
Ancient aliens did it to confuse us so they could implement their own grading system because they found that our TPG's suck!
Aliens just wanna kidnap us for their chow; and btw, that dime appears to be a different color than the other silver in that pack.
