(Sorry for posting this in this forum, I am not allowed to post in the FAQ forum) Do any of you know of reputable price guides for US Mint products still in their original government packaging. I have checked Numismedia and was wondering if there are other guides that offer both wholesale and retail pricing information. (Internet/Web accessible guides would be great!) TIA!!
There is no such thing as a "reliable price guide" - for mint products in OGP or any coin for that matter. Yes, there are literally dozens of price guides out there - for everything. But the prices listed in them are often too high or too low. And once in a while, you'll even find a price or two that is correct. But the bottom line is - you can't rely on any of them to be accurate because they just aren't. That said, Coin Market which is monthly guide put out by Numismatic News has the listings for what you want as does the Grey Sheet. The Grey Sheet will be closer to accurate of the two.
Thank you GDJMSP! I appreciate the response. :thumb: I will check out both sources you mentioned. I am willing to pay a fair price, I just want to be knowledgeable enough to know what fair is at any given time!
