International Coins to trade or give away

My apologies if this post breaches any rules, I didn't see anything in the FAQ that referenced posts about trading coins.

Here's the situation. I have a bunch of common international coins that I don't want, probably around two dozen. They're all common, minted in the last 30 years or so. I know for certain there's some stuff from Mexico, France, Italy, Argentina, Russia (might have been the Soviet Union at the time), Canada, and there are probably some other countries mixed in that I can't recall at the moment. I can post a scan/list if anyone's interested.

Basically it seems sad to let them go to waste, so I wanted to see if anyone wanted them. I'm only collecting US stuff right now. If you had anything you wanted to trade, that'd be great--nothing extravagant, a buffalo or a merc dime or anything you have lying around you're not interested in.

Otherwise, I'll just "donate" them to some other collector that likes the international stuff. :)

I'd suggest you look in your own neighborhood for a local high school coin club, I scout troop or for some young coin lovers. It might grow the hobby.

That's a good idea, save the fact that it would require me to interact with other people's children.

If you give them to the Scoutmaster of a Boy Scout troop, for redistribution to scouts going for the coin collecting merit badge, you wouldn't have to engage in direct contact with the kids.

I don't know whether the Girl Scouts have a coin collecting badge, but if they do, you could give half to a GSA troop and half to a BSA troop.

If you really want to trade them, I suggest you follow the forum rules and post your offer in the Open Forum where it is legal to do so, since you have more than the required minimum number of postings.

If you're willing to give away coins, I don't know if it qualifies as a trade. Under traditional notions of contract law, an exchange must involve consideration.

I think your rules are ambiguous and not nearly nannyist enough. You should probably convene a committee of elder numismatists to further codify forum rules. With just a little more effort, you will surpass France under the Chirac regime.
