Found this in a roll wwhen I was a young kid - it's still like new - but I never knew if this was something that could be worth $1 or maybe more?

Just looking for a vague idea - it has the major "bite" and a little "nibble" between WE and TRUST - photos are not great as jpg - but scanned better in PDF. Sorry, don't have any fancy equipment.

    Thanks!!

A value is hard to guess for errors. But the first thing I think you would need to do is find out if its a genuine mint error or if it was done post mintage.

Some people do enjoy collecting error coins, and if its a true mint error it could be worth between $50 and maybe $300. That is a complete guess.

I think you are way high with your prices. I would say it's worth a few dollars maybe a little more.

Error coins are hard to put a price on.....but I have seen some clipped error nickels at a coin shop I frequent, and asked what they cost. I was told between $30 and $50 depending on the year and the extent of the error. If the coin didn't have a year visible, it would be worth much less, like the few dollars mentioned. You should find someone who deals in error coins and ask to see some clipped nickels they have for sale. See what they have to offer and what they are asking for them. Its the best way to get an idea of the retail price. Only then ask about the value of yours.

Maybe my username should have been "RedBookGuy", cause that seems to be where I keep going... Anyways, Red Book says $6.
