1865 Clinton County Indiana $50 Bill

    This bill is not something I collect but my brother wants to know what a bill like this would be worth. He found it years ago inside an old book he bought. Not in prefect shape but its over 150 years old. Seems like $50 would have been a lot of money back then.

    I have been searching for information on this bill without much luck. I surmise these are the first green backs issued to fund the Civil War. Not much found searching the local history of this bill.

    I've seen that dog before. Maybe in security and engravings group we had/ have?
