Not sure what to call this one. I found it in a full roll of 2013 shield cents years ago. I like to think it was an attempted clipped planchet but incomplete. Although it sure looks like something mechanical and greasy mangled it pretty good. All the other 2013's in the roll were fine.
1984 Lincoln cent four corners die cracks. The crack on the lower right corner of the Lincoln Memorial is hard to see but its there. All four corners have die cracks from the corner to the rim.
That looks more like A DDO from about K4 than a double struck coin unless it shows a collar issue. Just my thoughts. What does the reverse look like?
under magnification to my limited eyesight UNITED does not appear damaged and the stretched metal seems to be under the strike leaving me to think it was a clipped/damaged planchet. Couldn't get the crud cleaned off even with acetone. In these photos you can see the zinc where the metal has stretched to extreme.
