I got this in spare change this week. Amazing how the old one's are still in the "Wild" and in " dripping wet gorgeous condition". Thinking this one was plucked from someone's collection?? If you look close enough, there is a "die chip" in the top of the "5"! Thanks for viewing all. :)

With the economy as it is a lot of people are breaking piggy banks and spending accumulations of change.

I have always thought the same. How can something found in circulation be declared MS? But, like you said, it meets all the criteria.

And it still has the mint luster. Nice find from circulation.

That's old school way of determining if uncirculated or not. Old school go to bank get rolls they are unc.
The ice cream shop goes to bank for change, buys rolls , gives you change from those rolls ....the change would be considered circulated.
This was 1960 coin club rules.... but again there were grades that no longer are used today.

Very true @Paddy54 I guess I still live back then. My only criteria is eye appeal.

As for myself I look for eye appeal, varieties, etc... but I can remember going back and forth at a coin club ,over Unc,Bu, Au , coins . But those days were fun and educational.

Sally McGooch finds a nice one.
Gotta change it out of that rattler though. Otherwise it'll certainly become circulated ;)
