I notice no one said how much they actually paid for the coin. I think my highest was about $180 or so, which is pocket change to most of you who are swimming in a much bigger tank.

35 dollars for a nice early 1810s Russian 5 Kopek. No pics but it is real nice, XF with a small planchet flaw. Can't think of anything more expensive but I'm sure there is a 60 dollar item mixed in there.

$100 I mostly stick around the low cost items like beaver nickels and common silver e.t.c for world coins. Screenshot_20220312-201556_Chrome.jpg Screenshot_20220312-201545_Chrome.jpg Screenshot_20220312-201551_Chrome.jpg

Quite a lot considering my budget, but it was worth it in terms of real value and historical significance/ rarity. The coins were proper researched before bidding and i'm a bit surprised that i even got some of them, but with so many ignorant rich collectors out there not knowing what to buy, i'm sure i'll make more good deals in the future!

    Above. 1.5k each

1621 Transylvania, Gabriel Bethlen, Taler, of the highest rarity type for the date.

1766 Tuscany, Pietro Leopoldo, Francescone, bust to the left, unique coin.

1802 Kingdom of Etruria, Ludovic of Bourbon, Francescone, struck in fact between 1808-1814, whilst they were under french invasion, unique coin.

It has been said tat non US coins are crazy/ insane. But looking at your trio/ imagine the cost if they had been US early Silver Dollars. Compare the 1804 US to those coins you posted. World/ Ancients are still VERY underpriced.

It is very true! World and ancient ones are very underpriced, but i think prices will go up in time, still, will never get close to the US coins.

One of the "overpriced/ hyped" World coins is the Great Britain AV 5 Pounds 1839 Una the Lion. The Deutsches Ostafrika AV 15 Rupien 1916 also overpriced/ considering there are thousands avaliable. The Athenian Owls AR Tetradrachms (100K++) know also go for insane prices.

Yes, agreed. As was stated above, or words to that effect, we as collectors are loathe to give specifics many times. However I do extend kudos to those that have. I quite agree with Panzerman about overrated "rarities" and would extend this to many of the other Victorian gold proofs such as from 1887 and 1893. There are many other examples...

    Outstanding coins!

Without a doubt it was the 50 reales, Segovia, 1635 R.

    D-Camera Spain, Philip IV, 50 Reales, Segovia, Assayer R, Superior 1997, 8-30-20.jpg

Number two would be the Oxford half pound, 1643.

    D-Camera Charles I, Oxford half pound, 1643, World-wide, 60.2 g, S-2945A, 11-21 -20.jpg
