It’s spotty, but I have to say in person it’s still an attractive coin. I have several of her. Thank you.,
Just environmental damage. It’s too colorful and light. He’s what a real experimental anti-tarnishing agent coin looks like. They are very dark and I have terrible photos but you’ll see the difference and get the idea.
That's a lot different from what I've seen. The rinsing process I saw left spots like on the Lincoln Cents. I had a bad batch of 2002's direct from the mint and had to spend them. I was not aware of this anti tarnish process.
You may want to inspect the reverse of all those 2000 sacs. There is a variety Cheerios type reverse that has more detail in the tail feathers. I see one of the coins you posted is missing the date. Perhaps a strike thru grease.
Good catch. It's also missing the mint mark. Better pictures of that one, both sides, might be interesting. There is also a "wounded/speared eagle" variety.
In #11, are those die chips that cause the baby to have horns ? Half of those coins have what appear to be horns on the baby's upper forehead. The rt. horn nearly touching the ear ring.
In her thread, she mentioned her father passing in 2001 I believe. If no more coins were added to his collection since his passing then it would be about 8 years to early for the 2009 edge marked Indian dollars to find their way in to his collection. Perhaps she will weigh in.
OK, so not 2000 like the other ones and saved later. I kinda thought it was odd for a grease-filled die.
