A Civil War Token

A common one but nice. Undated but definitely from the Civil War. Liberty with a head dress with 13 stars representing the Union circling the rim on the obverse and “OUR ARMY” on the reverse surrounded by a wreath. There’s even a small amount of red still shining through on the reverse.

Sorry but that annoying drop down box caused the underlined words and I can’t get rid of it on my cell phone.

It shows wear on the high spots but it’s clean from damage. Very nice looking in my hand.

 

Interesting token. So many were struck with designs on coins of the day, that I find them appealing.

 

That appealing factor is why I collect them.
