One year Before Tulsa OK was destroyed this Gem was produced I love this penny for the journey it has survived. ( to be clear I love any and all pennies equially.....I am equal opportunity lover of pennies lol enjoy.
I agree with Larry. Looks like that cent took a scratch across the obverse. The reverse looks normal (I tend to focus on the dots in EPU - look for elongation). No cud either.
OK, taking crash course quick to not waste anyones time, more out of practice then I thought. If I remember a CUD error has to start from brim of the coin and go inward I thought? I will post more tomorrow have to refresh thank you everyone for input.
You have the idea correct. When there is a die break that involves the rim, especially when it's missing, you have a cud. Here's link - Cuds on Coins (cuds-on-coins.com)
This is a cud. At 8 o’clock and a cud error must touch the rim. A piece of the die breaks off and the metal spreads to fill in that spot. It’s raised and contains no design features.
It would help if you showed a pic of the full obverse and a pic of the full reverse. No need for 10 close-up pics. Minimize close-ups to 1 or 2 pics at the most of your area(s) of concern. Too many pics confuse my 'ol eyes.
