Looks a bit lighter and more silver in color than these images.
Not as bright as the bottom two images.

I do notice some hairline scratches in the field on the reverse and over a lot of the obverse.
I really don't know if it was cleaned or of they are just circulation issues. Maybe I'm lucky and they are from heavy die polishing.
It appears some details were maybe polished off down at the bottom in the arrows area and DOLL of DOLLAR?

Regardless, it is an upgrade for my 7070 type set and the price was a no brainer.

What do ya think? I would give it at least XF40 value?

A couple larger images with more detail.

Like you, I'm also not certain about the hairlines, striations etc. But I bet it looks better in hand than in the pics. To my eye, it's a very handsome coin. Well-bought too? Excellent, and congrats.

The weird thing (to me) about the DOLL issue is that the adjacent denticles appear unaffected.

Not too bad for being possibly cleaned. How much was it if you don't mind me asking? That would be what I would be after for questions because there are more of those than answers.

DOLL could be a weak strike due to a die alignment issue. I've seen this on dimes from that era in STATES and in the leaf detail opposite on the reverse. XF40 seems about right, can't tell if it's been cleaned.

31 bucks out the door. Thank you people!
Barber coins circulated to oblivion. This will do. Fits in with the half and dime I have well.

Very nice pickup.. I ended up with a "cleaned" barber quarter for my 7070 as well.. they pricey puppies :D you did real well on that one :D doll almost looks like a grease strike but even with the fletching included the rest around it seems to sharp for a weak strike

@TheNickelGuy I think you did very well on that pickup. XF40 seems fair. And the price, like you said, was a no brainer.
