    What do you guys think?

Does it make sense to get a type set like this?

    It looks pretty cool xD.

Nice I always did like the capital holders, but that price well just a bit high unless I'm judgeing the prices wrong.. 6-7k tops for that set.. 9k No way unless I'm missing some really hard to get date... as for buying such a set.. No Never, the fun is in putting it together yourself, at least it is for me :D

Yeah I was just referring to the type set itself not counting the price xD.

I imagine a type set like that could really be someone’s pride and joy and the highlight of their collection.

It’s not easy to get CC coins especially in gold! o_O

I would have to price the coins individually. The CC gold coins are expensive. The silver coins appear to have been cleaned, but the photo does not tell you that much.

I sure would love it if next year, a secret Santa sent it to me. LOL

Without pictures of the reverse or better pictures in general especially for the 20 cent?no but the coins look fair.

Pictures don’t really matter unless you’re trying to estimate a value.

Im not asking about prices or values even though it has a price tag.

I was just asking if it makes sense to assemble such a set in the first place.

It makes sense if you really like the Carson City Mint. I'm neutral about it.

I did take a great interest in the Dahlonega and Charlotte Mints and that order and put together a similar coin set for them. All of the coins are gold, of course.

Here is an exhibit of Dahlonega Mint coins I put together a few years ago.

I would purchase the set, but the price would have to be a bit negotiable from that asking price. The pics don't do them any favors either. Thanks, and good luck.
