Most of you know that my collections are primarily made up of stuff I found in circulation. This is a good example. My Buffalo collecting hasn't had any updates since the last time I found a better coin in change. That was a long time ago. Today I found a 1930 P Buffalo in a bank roll. I am thinking about swapping it with the one that has been in my collection since the 50's. The coin on the left is the one I found today. The one on the right is the one that has been in my collection forever. Any opinion as to which one I should put in the album?
At this time, it appears unanimous. I like the one on the left better myself. Thanks for the feedback.
A fun find Inspector! I really appreciate your homage to the circulated coins. It must bring you great satisfaction!!!
I think the left one is a hair better but I really like the look of the right one. And for as long as you’ve had it, why bother?
I like the right obverse and the left reverse. Obverse wins. Keep the original childhood find. I pick the right one, and just like my wife...I am always right!
I’m sentimental. I’d keep the original and start a new album with this new found luck. Maybe it’s a sign of good things to come.
In situations like this it’s best to do what the wife says or thinks. Family peace wins every time in my book.
If I had put something in an album in the 50s Id leave it alone and just start a new album for upgrades if for no other reason sentimental with the initial group
That is the way I feel. Look at my IHC collection. I started it back in the late 40's. I want to replace the album. My wife is against it and I think I am too.
