A little too blurry on the date, and LIBERTY looks strong. I believe you have a LD there.

Keep at it Pam! It'll be second nature before too long. Finding a 1970 S small date in the wild is extremely difficult. I've never found one in the wild. Nor did I find the 1960 SD in the wild. Some of these LMCs are tough finds...but possible. I recall one CRH enthusiast found a 70 S SD...but had a touch of road rash. Nonetheless, he found one. To memory, I think I've only seen a handful of 1970 S CRH finds. And that's over millions of cents searched. Perhaps Tens of Millions searched.

Thanks so much for your help. Well these are coins I have been going through for a long time. From my dad. Probably not touched for years. Over 20 for sure. The 1982 dates cents, so many. CAMs and WAMs along with foreign. It’s a slow process lol but it’s fun. Thanks again.

Yup that's a large date. Unfortunately, you want the small date.

    Good luck!
I've searched through over $20,000 in cents and have yet to find one :)

It is a painstaking process at times. But given you are the second set of eyes, you stand a better chance of finding real finds.

@furryfrog02 - have you ever found a 1960SD in the wild?

You’re getting better with this. Large date is correct.

But to be honest, I had small date before. I cannot fib. Kevin and a couple of them corrected me. But I’m getting better at pointing out the different types. But I thank you.

I thought you had posted a small date recently.

Hi Pam, I always thought the pickup point using the "9" pointing towards a direction angle was relatively less useful , than the 7 where the top crease with the horizontal bar and the vertical leg is usually easier to see. Also I have seen several others here where the 9 was almost in between the 2 angles shown. IMO, Jim
