Here are some Morgan Trade dollars :p link

    Charlie :)

Edited to add: The people selling these do not know what to call them. There really isn't a Barber Morgan Dollar.

In the body of the listing, it is referred to as a " BERBER Morgan Dollar". Perhaps it was found in a rug.

by the look of the "great condition" of the coin, it looks like he found it on the bottom of a shoe!!! (not to say I don't have a few that look just like it.) ;)

In the early part of the twentieth century there was a good amount of confusion as to who designed the various coins of the latter part of the 19th century. Probably because there is a great deal of similarity between the portrait on the barber coins and the Morgan dollar. If you cover the hair and flip the Morgen dolla left to right you will find that Barber's coins have almost the exact same profile. In early coin boards the morgan was sometimes refered to as a Barber dollar, and there are coin boards and folders for Morgan dimes, quarters, and Halves.

If I saw a coin board of folder in a shop with holes for Morgan dimes, etc., I would probably think I stepped into a parallel universe, lol.

I am now picturing the Morgan dollar obverse on a quarter or dime sized coin. Interesting...I want one. :)

That's almost as bad as the listings I've seen for Proof coins listed as MS70.

I picked up a partial circulated Barber dime set earlier this year. The old Whitman folder reads "BARBER, LIBERTY HEAD OR MORGAN DIME COLLECTION".

There was a Morgan head dime board at the ISNA show this past weekend that I should have picked up.
