have 4-5 other 3 centers but they all nickel types not silver. This is actualy the 1st I've really liked for the price Not the very best pics but since it's not a "gem" coin, I think they are good enough for GTG we'll see and for about 75% list, I'm very happy with it
I'm particularly hopeless at grading these, beyond "full rims and not scrubbed, therefore much nicer than any of mine"...
I don't know about the grade but I really like the color and character of the coin. I'd be happy with it too.
VF 20 was my first thought and I see that was way off. These are a challenge indeed. Congrats on your first silver 3c!
I think that the low condition estimates were connected to the toning, which I would say is original. These coins are prone to unattractive spotting because of their 75% silver, 25% copper alloy. This one is really nice for an original surface piece. Most collectors prefer them to look like this.
