So there is no listing for a 1982 D Lincoln cent with a rpm listed on variety vista or on Wexlers but I came across this in change and I doubt my initial thought of rpm only because it's a crappy zincoln and the coin has some issues but I do see something that looks like other rpmm . Anyone that has better experience will you weigh in on this.
Actually variety vista lists one and to me yours looks exactly like it,nice find. http://www.varietyvista.com/02b LC RPMs Vol 2/1982DRPM001.htm
Thing is the split plate doubling ruins the value. Trying to authenticate s coin with plating issues, is jsut about as bad as beating a dead horse. Sorry Fast Eddie.
yeah but this is more trying to see if this might check out as a rpm, darn the plating issues. btw who is fast eddie?
A horse is a horse of course. Back in the day of Marcus, when I first started we had a Fast Eddie. He was also a horse.
I remember Marcus, I am not sure why my post is invoking their names. Perhaps i'm just not getting it
Not seeing the similarity myself, or the die scratches under Liberty, but I'm no expert. my eyes aren't as good as they used to be
so there is a small chance this may be a new rpm? Maybe maybe not. When I get around to sending my Kennedy for examination to Wexler I might include it. Things have been crazy lately but I'm still going to send it to him.
