And while I am in the mood, there is a grammatical error in your "curmudgeon" post as well. go ahead, look that up too.
Here is a $250 Queen Isabella https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces109739.html struck in 1992 there are no mintage figures. 1991 the $500 Columbus was struck https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces94630.html again no mintage figures. Cant find any info on a $100 example. This info is for proof issues only. I replied to your question when you posted on my profile but didn't get a reply
expat---thanks, and I apologize for not responding to you....actually did not know how to do so. At any rate, surely there is some way, some how, some where to find the mintage numbers of these three coins. I'll keep looking. Thanks, again.
No I wasn't showing you because I thought it was the coin you had, I was just showing you that some are for sale on ebay. Maybe you can just go to the Franklin Mint website and ask them about the mintage. Just a thought! good luck! https://franklinmint.com/pages/contact
Not many here realize I've been enjoying my Franklin Mint pieces for many years. Mintage numbers for some of their minted legal tender https://onlinecoin.club/Info/Mints/Franklin_Mint/ You'll find that there are many sources for particular FM pieces, such as silver medals or particular collections and commemoratives and more. But to find the details of legal currency they made for countries you're very likely to find it on https://en.numista.com/ it also includes known mintage.
I think what is now the Franklin Mint is not the same company that struck coins in the 1970s and 1980s. Certainly I think that the records from the 1980s are patchy at best and missing altogether at worst.
Yes, I completely agree. True Franklin Mint records are nearly all lost or jumbled after the 1981 year.
