There are split serifs on this coin.

    For all you medalists, error guys. Is there a pattern to the doubling as if it was made on a reduction lathe? Or just the design of the medal.
    I see a 6 and 12 rotation to the devices. Rev, to a further degree.
    What do you think?

    On the reverse look at the D and EMPIRE. Those letters/devices are thicker and show full separation lines.

    I see something in that area, but can't say for certain if there are split serifs based on the pic

    Having never seen this medal before, I have nothing to compare it to but believe it is just one of those things that once you have it in your mind, you can't Unsee it.
