I will challenge you mpcusa: encil: :thumb: :high5: First off the composition of Bovine milk is significantly different than Mother's breast milk, we are two different species and produce different biochemicals, fats and hormones. The quality of the milk and the nutrient content varies considerably. Mothers milk is not pasteurised and contains no additives whereas Bovine milk, Goats milk and other milk products contain significant preprocessing treatments. Now, when the volume of a consumed liquid is concerned, each of us have different urinary bladder capacity. Micturition (urination or voiding) is a reflex action that expels urine from the urinary bladder. In a fetus, the urinary and reproductive systems originate from specialized elevation of mesodermal tissue called the urogential ridge. The 2 systems share common structures for part of the development period, but by the time of birth two separate systems have formed, the separation in the male is not totally complete, however, since the urethra serves to transport both urine and future semen, the development of both systems is initiated during the embryonic stage, but the development of the urinary system starts and ends sooner than that of the reproductive system. There are 3 types of Kidneys that develop in the human embryo; the pronephros, mesonephros and the metanephros...the 3rd the metanephric kidney remains as the permanent one. All in all..each of us are different and in the developing child, each bladder is different ( not in shape, but size)..in males it is located just above the prostrate, in females it is in contact with the uterus and vagina. Digestion and waste production will vary accordingly to nutrient uptake and pH balance within the natural body. Ionic exchange in electrolytes can play a role in waste development as well. The cycle for waste expulsion is through the Kidneys and through a complex system of renal corpuscles ( glomerulus) also known as Bowmans capsule. The process of separation begins in the Kidneys to the Nephron ( a tubular system) then on through the Loop of Henle for filtrate to pass from the blood by means of fenestrae which in turn leads to othe systems that allow passage of fulids through slits and finally collects into the urinary bladder. So Mothers milk by far produces less waste in most situations I have seen. This may or may not hold true in all case's and by no means am I a medical Doctor.. it is one area I studied while in Grad school. RickieB
I will. I will. The components absorbed between the two sources differs significantly. As I mentioned in post 14, but I just took an average between the two. My wife is a militant La Lachie freak and now has interest in this thread.
Hey Rickie, Iam no rocket scientist "WHOOOOOOOSH" But my wife did do both And i didnt see any appreciable difference! Either way, If so i would have landed Up at the local market at all hours of the night picking up more.....LOL Maybe iam getting to old to remember!!
mpcusa.. please take no offense ..at one time I was going (studying) to be a pathologist...I can still recall stained tissues from organs and studied them extensively...turns out I was too stupid and to follow through was what I should have done, as I really enjoy it very much...but hey, I like a lot of things..collecting and measuring urine is not one of them...:high5: :high5:   RickieB
Whoa! Now this thread sure went in some wild directions! LOL! Just step away for an a hour and the whole thing rearranges... Thanks for never a dull moment on CT! :eating: I never knew diapers would somehow be linked to numismatics beyond those toilet paper rolls printed with $100 bills.

Father of 5?! Did your wife do all the diaper changing? (Or, also quite likely, we're all blessed with short memories for all kinds of new-born stuff -- or else most of us would have stopped with one kid! <g>) Surely you must recall (if your wife breast fed) the startling difference in, ummm, odor/consistency/etc when the baby went from 100% breast milk to less than 100% breast milk? (As my wife's friend put it: "wow, my baby starting eating stuff, and now the poop smells like poop!")
Actually~ Actually~ I was just watching "The Hitch Hikers Guide to the Universe" and added one to it.:secret:
you know, in my experience with forums and chatrooms at one point the conversation always comes back to boobs!!! It's a man thing, I guess...
Is that like Dr. Quincy stuff!! That was my favorite show back in High school and now in reruns:thumb:
Yes..indeed. I turned my interest over to the Life Sciences side of things... and let me say that it is tough enough for me as it is...LOL When the good lord was passing out Chem E Brains..I must have been in the Paper Money Line..cuz here I am...:thumb:   RickieB
