    Hello Everyone,

I found the attaches coin while going through some SMS sets I had acquired sometime back and was curious if this was a strike through on the reverse or not.

Thank you in advance for any help!

Meow thinks so too. But sometimes the angle of the light makes outies look like innies. But seeming not in this coin.

Hard to tell from the shadows in your pic, but I don't think I see any displaced metal which would indicate it's a strike through. If the edges of the indent are flat with the surface and there are no raised areas, then you might have something. You have the coin in hand so objectively look for displaced/raised metal.

Too bad about the green corrosion spot.

I'm going with strike through nice coin but that corrosion spot really kills it.

Looks possible to me. Possibly a wire bristle.

Meow found a few Tallgrass quarters with string struck through. The design still comes through a little bit in that area. Meow knows it is a thread that did this because on one example you can see the twisting of fibers in the indent.

Appears to be more of a gouge. PMD in my opinion. Thanks.

While it is unusual that the mark starts at one device and ends at another, I think I see a mark at the very top that would lead me to believe it is a scratch, so PMD, but either way, you may wish to keep it as an anomaly.
