Some years ago, I got an unidentified copper coin with a 6-spoked wheel design and a curious wheel countermark. As best I can tell, it is a:
City of Wiedenbrück, 1692, 3 Pfennig (wheel countermark)

I still don't know the exact meaning of the stamp, but ever since I've been on the lookout for any other coins from the City of Wiedenbrück or the Bishopric of Osnabrück, both of which I believe to have used that 6-spoked design on coins.

Anyway, I recently picked up this 1625 9 pfennig from Osnabrück. It's in much nicer condition than is typical for the 1600s German States coinage I usually run across, so I was very happy to get it.

If you have any coins from this region (or any other German States minors you find interesting), please feel free to post!

I like these as well but haven't ever done any research on the meaning. Here are the 2 I have.
