Looks like the (O)just took a few hits causing the odd appearance.Circulation wear and tear can also effect design details in odd ways. Can you get full pictures of the obverse and reverse also what year it is.

Thanks for the response.i purchased it online and had regrets after studying the pictures more out of excitement and noticed the O.i have limited pics till I have it in hand.it is a 1934 and they have low mint so I jumped on it.i am a new collector and thought it was worth it because of that low mintage. With those pictures now im sorry to say it's most likely a counterfeit.Wait for more opinions(did you get it from ebay?how much)don't start the refund process just yet.

I thought only the 1935 had 4 rays under the one. All years before had only 3 rays.

The rays also look a bit too thick.

The photos are good enough to tell it's a counterfeit.

Sorry you are learning in this manner but this will turn you in to a better hobbyist. Sometimes if I am looking at a potential hole filler and it looks iffy, I ask here first what people think. Good luck. Regards.

One extra ray under ONE, and between tail feathers and rock. Above dollar there seems to be a series of casting bubbles

Also the E in ONE is smaller than the N. Counterfeit. Send it back and tell them why, and contact EBay or whatever site you bought it from.
