Here's one that's fairly rare. AU-Details-Bent. I showed it to some buddies at last week's local coin club meeting and they, like me, couldn't really see the bend. I told them it couldn't be bent - I put the slab on the table top and it didn't rock.

Hey, even if it wasn't bent, it probably would have detailed for cleaning and maybe for a couple of the dings.

    But it's still an R-6.

The worst piece in my collection by are long shot ...

    Virginia O.jpg Virginia R.jpg

This token was made from iron recovered from the wreck of the CSS Virginia a.k.a. The Merrimac. This was the Confederate ironclad that squared off with the Union Monitor at Hampton Roads, Virginia in March 1862. The Confederates blew it up later rather have it fall into Union hands.

It was once listed as a Civil War token but later dis-listed because it's now believed these were minted and sold circa 1905. I would love to get a better one, but the opportunity has never arrived. Auction prices for nice ones have gone over $3,000.

Yes. It was that way when I bought it. But, from the state of the rims, I would surmise that someone beat it with a hammer.

I think I commented on the 45 10c before. It does not look whizzed.

If that coin in that holder makes you happy, that's great, but it's not great if a less experienced collector paid Red Mint State money for it. I have seen it happen many times over the years, and it got so bad that the ANA banned member dealers from selling whizzed coins for a while.
