    Hi all,
Looking through my Delawares for S, instead I found a possible error. Defective die? Cud markings. Hopefully the photos are clear. Y’all be gentle. :nailbiting: D90A4367-A282-4D28-A09E-F15C4A95EC9A.jpeg 6B4BEAFC-4583-4695-A45B-8F0D8A038023.jpeg 51B118D7-B408-46AB-8275-EBFDACDCE009.jpeg E3582E56-47A3-49E5-BBBA-B5BB3D149B88.jpeg 2D66331C-CE14-440E-88AF-9C8FB519B6E6.jpeg AEE33234-CE4D-404B-89EB-955E4A0B5052.jpeg 4265EEE2-830B-4916-94BB-792B3E773865.jpeg DB73B1B4-6DC4-4414-A3AA-8FC352BF65ED.jpeg CEA74DE4-B9F2-4956-8DEF-957E57C53F6D.jpeg

I don't see any cuds Pam. Not a defective planchet, those are called planchet striations or roller marks.

Agreed with above and on the reverse those are just hits after the reeded edge of another coin made contact with yours(damage).

The gouges on the reverse is from contact with the reeding (edge) of another coin.

Reed marks from being hit when coins drop into the bags are quite common. Just for fun, use another quarter and see how the reeding matches the marks on your coin perfectly, or close to it.

Roller lines on the obverse. The edge of another quarter left reeding marks and those two lines on George’s hat, they are normal too. I think it helped to identify his rank.

The striations are collectible. I do it when ever I see them. They tone if kept in the right environment to beauty's. I gave this one a distilled water soak and a q tip roll.
