Many years ago, PCI graded this and it came back in a red problem holder.
If you wish, guess the grade and the problem.
The second set of images were taken about 20 years after the first set.

OK, I can't see this coin as anything less than MS65....only negative thing I see is the scrape on the eagle's breast.

Wow...a nice one, by either/both photo sets...a 64+ and maybe 65 today...have no idea what PCI gave it years ago. Have seen good/bad from PCI in the past...same as all TPGs.

I don't see it as a problem coin but it does have some decent hits. The carbon spots(especially the one on the left bottom wing)might of rendered a details grade also, other then that I would give a 66 nice.

MS65 and I'll guess it was removed from a bezel. The rims look a little funky.

    I don't know why it wouldn't be an MS-66.

I would call it a 65 or 65+ but for what appears to be graffiti between the right wing and the wreath. So, Larry, does it look like graffiti in hand?

It is a damaged coin. The area under the right wing is scratched. It came back damaged-scratched. Were it not for the scratches,it would grade as MS 65+, or possibly as high as 66.

I'll go MS66 on that one... would consider 67 but a bit big chatter on the top of rev holds it back :D

MS-65, maybe a MS-65+. A few minor hits on the obverse but the reverse is what’re the problem is. I see a little bit more but I think @Morgandude11 is correct.

I can't see the "damage" pointed out by @Morgandude11 from making it come back as a problem coin. Looks like normal bag marks to me, but what do I know?
If a grade is important, I would send it in to another TPG.

The scratches Dave pointed out do concern me, but other than that, the coin is a gem.....well struck for an 'Orleans .

If that’s the case, that would explain the rim toning.

Here is that spot, made much larger. It really looks like it was intentionally scratched, as opposed to random bagmarks. Graffiti is looking stronger to me. Somebody scribbled under the wing, with a sharp object, IMO.

Look more carefully at the larger picture. People often intentionally scribble on Morgans, as they are large coins, and it is easy to do, with a nail, or other sharp object.
